CCSM Baroque Ensemble Concert. Fota House, Co. Cork. Saturday April 28th

Four ensembles of students from the County Cork School of Music present a concert of works from the Baroque era. Trio sonatas by Handel and Quantz, along with a concerto by Vivaldi provide a challenging and exciting programme for these young performers who range in age from 15 to 18 years old.
The students, playing violins, flute, recorder, viola and cellos, have been coached over the last two months by Conor O’Connell and Marja Gaynor, specialists in Baroque ensemble music-making. Each ensemble will be accompanied with harpsichord, which will be played by Anne Ralph. The drawing-room of Fota House will provide a wonderfully appropriate venue for this intimate and elegant chamber music.
