Key Facts
The County Cork School of Music (CCSM) under the aegis of the County Cork Vocational Education Committee has been committed to the musical and cultural development of the county for 60 years by the provision of Music Education for children and young people.
CCSM's extensive service operates throughout the entire county and the school plays an important role, not only in the personal benefits it brings to each student but in the overall enhancement of the local communities. We deliver high quality instrumental and ensemble tuition programmes catering specifically for children and young people under the age of eighteen.
The range of instrumental and ensembles on offer varies in each of our areas. Please see HOW TO APPLY for further details.
CCSM programmes are delivered by our skilled and experienced teachers. We have a uniquely designed CCSM syllabus for each instrument on offer at the School. Students can join our programmes as beginners up to advanced depending on their experience and in accordance with the Enrolment Policy. Students participate in the examination syllabi at the discretion of their instrumental teacher.
"My time with the CCSM shaped my future career in music. Having one-to-one lessons with a baroque specialist laid a foundation for what has become my current field of expertise."
- Aoife O' Donovan , CCSM Past Pupil
